10th Annual Day Abhyudyam Vedo Shivam
DPSG international celebrated its 10th Annual Day 'Abhyudayam: Vedo Shivam' on November 23, 2108 in the school football grounds in the presence of Ms. Kanchan Verma, IAS, Vice Chairperson Ghaziabad Development Authority. Mrs. & Mr. Om Pathak, Chairman DPSG Society, Mr. Anshul Pathak Vice-Chairman and Treasurer DPSG Society and Chairman DPSG International, Mr. R. K Sharma Secretary and Director Administration, DPSG Society and Principals of the DPSG group of schools also graced the occasion with their presence.
The lighting of the lamp was followed by an inspirational song by the school choir. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the dignitaries and guests with eco friendly bouquets and thanked them for their presence on the occasion. She also stressed on the need for promoting and organizing activities focusing on creativity and performing skills to enhance the inherent talent of the students.
A special brochure was released on the occasion by the Chief Guest Mrs. Kanchan Verma along with Mrs. and Mr. Om Pathak, Mr. Anshul Pathak, and Mr. R.K. Sharma.
The highlight of the evening was the cultural extravaganza Abhyudayam : VedoShivam which sought to arouse the inner SHIV - the inherent self-worth of every person to incite them onto a journey of self-discovery and success. The students brought to life the significant events of Shiv Purana through their theatrics and dance which was a feast for the eyes.
Mrs. Kanchan Verma highly commended the efforts of the students as well as the teachers for highlighting out culture and heritage through their presentation and reiterating the wealth of knowledge and values contained our ancient texts.

Once in Kathanagar, the Junior wing annual presentation of DPSG International was held on 15th October, 2018 in the school amphitheater. The presentation sought to revive story telling as a method of teaching and learning.
The occasion was graced by Ghaziabad Mayor Ms. Asha Sharma as chief guest who stressed on the need to encourage participation of students in co-curricular activities for an all-round development. Mr. Pankaj Pandey, District Inspector of Schools for Ghaziabad region, Ms. Aparna Jha, Advocate Supreme Court of India also graced the occasion as a special guest for the evening. DPSG Society Vice Chairman and Treasurer and Chairman DPSG International Mr. Anshul Pathak commended the all round efforts of the students and congratulated the parents on behalf of their children. DPSG Society Director Administration and Secretary Mr. R. K. Sharma was also present on the occasion. After lighting of the lamp by the guests, Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and highlighted our age old tradition of teaching moral values and ethics to children through story-telling and how the school is making efforts to revive this art through various means. The school mindscape presented a comprehensive report of the school's activities. The musical story telling presentation of the students left the audience spell bound. DPSG International organized its Annual Exhibition - Kalanjali on 6th Oct, 2018 where students of classes VI-X showed their creative talent through various mediums. Paper quilling, origami, pottery, sculpture, painting, 3D paper art, collage making, etc. left the parents spell bound as they admired the various useful and decorative items prepared by students.
Students also put up a display of Digital India showcasing smart street and home lighting systems using sensors.
The exhibition was an effort to display student's learning through various clubs and activities.

DPSG International once again highlighted the social issues of gender bias and equality of opportunity through the Class IX Annual presentation. They presented a skit highlighting the biased attitude of society towards girls and the need to change our perspective. The lighting of the lamp was followed by an inspirational song by the students. Scholar badges for session 2017-18 were also presented to meritorious students in the presence of their parents. Speaking on the occasion principal Anita Sethi congratulated the scholars and urged the other students to put in more efforts.

Teacher's Day Celebration
Citations, games, dances and fun marked the Teacher's Day celebrations at DPSG International. The students presented songs, dances, a skit and a heart touching speech to honour their mentors and teachers. On a lighter note, students also organized some fun games for the teachers. Principal Anita Sethi wished all the teachers on the occasion and blessed the students for the efforts they put in to make the day special for the teachers.
Grand Parent Day and Janamasthami Celebration, Class Starz, 1 and 3 Presentation
Students of class III put up a heart-warming presentation on the occasion of Grandparents' Day to express their love for them. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the Sarv Dharma Prarthana. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the parents and grandparents and spoke about the importance of having their loving presence in the family for a secure and stable childhood. The skit presented by the students aptly showed the unconditional love and care the children get and how they also take care of their grandparents. This was followed by some fun games like 'Couple Dance' and ‘Run to Win' for the guests. Starz and Class I also had their class presentation to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna on the occasion of Janamashtmi.
The tiny tots mesmerized the audience with phonics poetry and a skit on the childhood antics and incidents of Krishna with his friends. Krishna along with his friends also broke a matki of 'maakhan' amidst a shower of flowers.

Commerce Fest Yothopia
Inter School Commerce Fest Yothopia 2018
DPSG International organized its annual Inter School Commerce Fest 'Yothopia - 2018' in which over 12 school from Ghaziabad region participated. The students of class XI-XII vied with each other for top honours in events like Tag-o-Packet, Commerce Quiz, Nukkad Natak, and Ups and Downs. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the participants and stressed on the need to participate in such competitions to broaden one's horizons and put theoretical knowledge to practical test. Dr. S.K. Dube Professor IMS College was a special guest on the occasion. The winners were felicitated with Trophies and certificates. The overall trophy was awarded to Ch. Chhabil Das Public School.

Class VII presentation
Class VII presentation on Independence Day
The school celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with flag hoisting and a tribute to martyrs who laid down their lives so that we may breathe free.
The Principal Anita Sethi along with the Coordinators and the Head Boy and Head Girl hoisted the tricolor in the school football field. This was followed by a class presentation by Class VII titled 'Bhagat - Aazadi ka Deewana' wherein the students enacted the major events from the life of Saheed Bhagat Singh and highlighted his contribution to the cause of freedom. Scholar badges for class VI students for session 2017-18 were also awarded to meritorious students in the presence of parents. Speaking on the occasion principal Anita Sethi urged the students to take up the responsibility of building a strong and progressive nation, free of the fritters of caste, intolerance, violence and religion. She also congratulated the scholars and their parents on their success. Middle wing Coordinator Rekha Guleria proposed the vote of thanks.

A memorable event Festinobeats took place in our school on 5th August,2018. The tiny tots along with their mothers and teachers from different schools Mother's Lap, Red Apple, ABPS Play School, Kidzee Hapur, Delhi Public World School and many other schools participated in the event. The programme started with lighting of the lamp followed by felicitation of the guests by our Principal Ms. Anita Sethi. The competitions started with group dance where the children showcased their dance skills. After the dance, students participated in Talent Hunt where they recited poetry, sang songs and danced along with their mothers. The last event was Fashion Show where they walked the ramp fashionably dressed. A game on Run to Win was also organized for the parents and teachers which they enjoyed thoroughly. The day was concluded with prize distribution followed by vote of thanks by Primary Coordinator Ms Malavika Yadav and National Anthem.
DPSG International hosted Spontania 2018, its annual creative, visual and performing arts fest on 4th August 2018. Over 300 students from 15 schools participated in various events and vied for the top honours in theater, sculpture, music, dance and yoga. The participants presented a colourful and diverse picture of Indian culture and tradition through their presentations. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the participants and encouraged them to learn from each other during the competition. She stressed on the need to cultivate aesthetic sensibilities and the spirit of healthy competition among students.
Class 6 Presentation
Class 6 Presentation – Oliver Twist
Students of class VI put up a dramatized presentation of the classic Oliver Twist as their class presentation on 21st July, 2018. It highlighted the central theme that links poverty and crime. Beyond that it also explored the way society treats its weakest members. All of the poignancy, courage and humor of the famous orphan was projected in a very apt manner by the students. Through a beautiful musical and theatrical performance they were able to enthrall the audience. The students were awarded scholar badges for the session 2017-18 in the presence of proud parents. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the parents and also stressed upon the need to participate in co-curricular activities to develop confidence and a holistic personality. A parenting session on “Adolescence and Growing Up” was taken up by Dr. Shivapriya Sharma and Ms. Punya Jolly where the queries put forward by the parents were discussed and resolved. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks the Junior coordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav followed by the National Anthem.
Class 10 Presentation
Class 10 Presentation – The Prodigal Son
Students of class VI and X had their class presentations on 21st July, 2018 in which the students put up theatrical performances and enthralled the audience. Class VI put up the dramatized presentation of the classic Oliver Twist and Class X touched upon the theme of parental and peer pressure. The students were also awarded scholar badges for the session 2017-18 in the presence of proud parents. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the parents and also stressed on the need to participate in co-curricular activities to develop confidence and a holistic personality. The vote of thanks was presented by the Junior and Senior coordinators Ms. Malavika Yadav and Ms. Nidhi Narayan for classes VI and X respectively.
Investiture Ceremony 2018-19
The Investiture Ceremony for the Prefectorial Board 2018-19 was held in the school ground amidst great cheer and camaraderie as the new leaders were sworn in and took up their new duties in front of their parents. The ceremony was presided over by R.M. Singh, ASP Hapur. Anshul Pathak Vice Chairman and Treasurer DPSG Society and Chairman DPSG International also graced the occasion with his presence.
The programme began with an invocation dance followed by an inspirational song. The newly elected leaders marched in smartly and were invested with their duties in the presence of their parents. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and parents and administered the oath of office to the prefects. Chief Guest R.M. Singh also encouraged the students to live up to the expectations of the school and the society. Anshul Pathak also encouraged the students and spoke about the upcoming developmental plans for the school. The vote of thanks was proposed by senior coordinator Ms. Nidhi Narayan.

Class 2 Presentation Mothers Day Celebration
"There is nothing as powerful as mother's love."
People across regions, religions, castes, cultures, genders and financial status have emotions binding them to their mothers. There could not be a more universal celebration than this one. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, we at DPSGI had a special celebration on the occasion of mother's day. It was celebrated in the school's precincts with the active participation of the mothers and their children as well. A special presentation was organized for the mothers which began with the lighting of the lamp by the HOS, Ms. Anita Sethi. She welcomed all the parents and shed light on the pivotal role of a mother. The students of class 2 presented a beautiful skit highlighting the importance of mothers in our lives. They also extended their gratitude towards their mothers with a melodious song and an emotional dance performance. After that, the mothers and grandmothers participated in a ramp walk dressed as Retro Queens, who were greeted by their children with a flower and a crown. They also participated in musical chair, fire in the mountain game, salad making etc. All the winners were felicitated by the principal of the school. The Primary wing coordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav concluded the programme with a vote of thanks.

Macbeth Class 12 Presentation
The Class XII Presentation along with the Scholar Badge Ceremony for class XII was held to felicitate the top performers of session 2017-18. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by Principal Anita Sethi. She welcomed the parents and guests and stressed on the need for students to participate in co-scholastic activities to develop life skills and well-rounded personalities. After the scholars were felicitated in the presence of their parents, the stage came alive with the rendition of the Shakespearean play 'Macbeth' as the swords of Banquo and Macbeth clashed in conflict, the three witches shrieked and Lady Macbeth plotted to change her destiny. The Senior Coordinator Manbir Mahendra thanked the parents for their continued support and appreciated the efforts of the students.
DPSG International organized Vivacity 2018, an amalgamation of music, dance, theater and art on 27th April, 2018. Students of 10 schools from the NCR participated in various events and displayed their creative skills in theater, art, sculpture, music and dance. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the participants to the school and stressed on the need for students to participate in creative skill competitions to hone their inherent skills and to develop a sensibility towards various Indian art forms.
The participants presented a colourful and diverse perception of the topics given to them. The overall first position was bagged by Cambridge School, Indirapuram.
Spic Macay Oddissi Dance
DPSG International in association with Spic Macay organized an enchanting oddissi recital by the renowned danseuse Kavita Dwibedi. She was accompanied by Sh. Dheeraj Kumar Panday ji on the flute, Sh. Prashant Kumar Mangraj on pakhawwaj and Sh. Suresh Kumar Sethiji as the vocalist. After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp the Principal Anita Sethi accorded a formal welcome to the guests and thanked them for gracing our school with their presence. She urged the students to take interest in their traditions and learn about the various aspects of our vast cultural heritage. Kavita ji began her performance by building a rapport with the students and explained the various nuances of oddissi dance in detail. She also extolled the virtues of our Classical dance traditions and performed many mythological incidents related to the lives of Bal Krishna and Lord Shiva. The children were left spell bound by her performance.
Republic Day Celebration
DPSG International celebrated the 69th Republic day with patriotic gaiety and fervor. The flag hoisting was followed by the class presentation by students of classes VI - VIII. The students presented a patriotic skit "Bharat Maa Pukarti" highlighting the changes and development in the country over the past 68 years. A speech on the importance of the constitution followed by a patriotic dance was also presented. Principal Anita Sethi urged the students to become sensitive and caring citizens and take up the initiative to usher in an era of social responsibility.
The scholars for session 2016-17 for classes V-VII were felicitated with scholar badges and certificate in the presence of their parents. The students also participated in a kite flying activity to celebrate the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by the middle wing coordinator Rekha Guleria.
Winter Carnival Chilzzz 2017
DPSG International organized an exciting and frolicking winter carnival to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The carnival was held on 23rd Dec, 2017 in the school grounds and was entirely an in house affair. The students of class IV - XI put up various stalls and organized entertaining games for the parents and guests. Live theater and dance performances were also put up to showcase the talent of the students. Lip smacking foods along with handicraft items were a special treat for the visitors as they browsed through diaries, pen stands, and other knick-knacks on sale. A Lucky draw was also taken out on the occasion and a tablet, smart phone and a kindle was given out as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. The fun filled event was a huge success and was appreciated by all the guests and parents.

Annual Function 2017 – KRISHAN KRISHANA gaatha naari samman ki
DPSG International held their 9th Annual Function wherein the students of classes VI - IX and XI presented "Krishan - Krishana" a poignant tale of women empowerment through the timeless epic Mahabharata and its central character Draupadi.
The occasion was graced by Dr. Manju Shivach, MLA Modinagar as chief guest. Mr. Om Pathak Chairman DPSG Society presided over the function along with Mrs. Niharika Pathak first lady and member DPSG Society. Mr. Anshul Pathak Vice Chairman DPSG Society and Chairman DPSG International and Mr. Rohit Pathak Director HR DPSG Society also added grace to the occasion with their presence. Mr. R.K. Sharma Director Administration and Secretary DPSG Society and Mr. N.M. Bhatia Director Academics were also present on the occasion.

DPSG International in association with Spic Macay organized an enthralling performance of Hindustani Classical Vocal rendered by the renowned vocalist Padamshree Ustad F. Wasifuddin Dagarji on the occasion of Children's Day. Dagarji was accompanied by Pt. Mohan Shyam Sharma ji on the pakhawaj. After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp the Principal Anita Sethi accorded a formal welcome to the guests and thanked them for gracing our school with their presence. She urged the students to take interest in their traditions and learn about the various aspects of our vast cultural heritage. Dagarji began his performance by building a rapport with the students and explained the various nuances of classical singing in detail. He also urged the students to sing along with him and extolled the virtues of Classical vocal traditions. The children were left spell bound by his rendition of various ragas.
Children’s Day Celebration
Celebrating Children's Day The DPSGI celebrated Children's Day with lots of cheer on 14th of November as a tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on November 14, 1889. He is fondly called Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji and was well known for his love for children. On this day, the school organized different events for the children. The tiny tots of STARZ came dressed in party clothes, held a special assembly and enjoyed a fun races along with a class party. They made roses by tearing and pasting technique and carried it home as their take away gifts. The rest of the Primary Wing, enjoyed various fun races, made themselves aware more about children's day through the GK Board and enjoyed 5 Star chocolate which was distributed among the children. Through the celebrations, Mohit Tiwari of class V showcased brilliant sportsmanship and a very caring attitude towards his fellow mates. The day was concluded with an educational video about the significance of the day.
Annual Function Junior Wing
DPSG International organized its Junior Wing Annual Function on 27th October, 2017 in the school amphitheater. Raj Sharma, an eminent environmentalist and Uday Shankar an eminent artist and cartoonist graced the occasion with their presence. Anshul Pathak Vice Chairman DPSG Society and Chairman DPSG International presided over the function.
The lighting of the lamp by the guests was followed by the welcome song by the choir group.
Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and parents and stressed on the importance of participation in cultural programmes to develop aesthetic sensibilities and sensitive behaivour among students. Speaking on the occasion Ms. Raj Sharma praised the efforts of the students and also stressed on the need to develop social responsibility in students from a tender age.
The guests were enthralled by the performance of the students as they were transported into the Pre-World War II Austria and saw the lives of the Von Trapp Family unfold before them through the enchanting musical extravaganza The Sound of Music. Teacher’s Day Celebration
Felicitations, titles, fun games and dances were the highlights of the Teachers Day Celebrations organized by the prefectorial board and students to show their respect and honour for their guides and mentors. Students felicitated their teachers with cards and titles to convey their feeling of love and respect. They also put up skits and dances and pepped up the mood of all present. Principal Anita Sethi thanked the students for their efforts and love and encouraged them to do well in their life always. She also participated in the fun games along with teachers and enjoyed the special day.

Every child is a different type of flower, and all together make this world a beautiful garden.
The DPSG International believes in providing opportunity to every child to enable them to blossom every day. A Class Presentation was showcased by the students of Classes II and III based on the theme – Interculturalism. It was an effort to imbibe international mindedness among the children and share the same idea with their parents. It started with the lamp lighting, and our Principal Ms. Anita Sethi welcoming the parents and felicitating the chief guest - Ms. Sarita Chauhan - A business Power coach who graced the event with her presence. It was followed by a Parental workshop on good parenting conducted by Ms. Nidhi Singh and Dr. Shivapriya Sharma. The students of Class II and III started the event with a song about their love for the school which was followed by music-drama-dance presenting the story of Alexander-Porus and Humayun-karnavati that celebrated their intercultural bonding. The chief guest addressed the gathering and inspired them with her ideas on parenting. The event was concluded by a formal vote of thanks delivered by our coordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav. It was our sincere endeavour to reiterate that each life is unique and we can make it divine and enticing through our actions for the future. It was made sure that each and every child participates in the event. The overall performance was enthralling which was appreciated by the audience. The children were motivated and very cheerful after they were congratulated by everyone.
Independence Day and Janmasthmi Celebration
JHANSI KI RANI - A TRIBUTE TO MARTYRS The school celebrated the 71st Independence Day with a tribute to martyrs with a dance drama presentation of Jhansi ki Rani. Principal Anita Sethi hoisted the flag along with the coordinators, and parent and student representatives. Speaking on the occasion she emphasized the need to introspect and work for the progress of the country and upliftment of the downtrodden. The dance drama Jhansi ki rani which highlighted the freedom struggle of 1857 was followed by a dance to celebrate Janamashtami. Scholar badges for class VIII students for session 2016 - 17 were also awarded. The student's efforts were appreciated by the parents. The vote of thanks was delivered by Senior Co-ordinator Manbir Mahendra.
DPSG International organized an Inter School Commerce Fest Yothopia 2017 to inculcate marketing and entrepreneurial skills among students. Activities like Ups and downs, Filmi Chakkar, Band and Tag-o-Packet were held where students from 10 schools from Ghaziabad pitted their marketing and advertising skills against each other. The event began with the lighting of the lamp after which Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and participants. She stressed on the need to participate in competitions to develop confident and spirited personalities. The events were keenly contested and the overall trophy was bagged by the host school DPSG International who, as per the tradition handed it over to the Runners Up team DAV Public School Sahibabad.

Speaking on the occasion Principal Anita Sethi stressed on the need for students to participate in co-scholastic activities and strike a balance to develop confident and eloquent personalities. The students' efforts were appreciated by the parents. The vote of thanks was delivered by Senior Co-ordinator Manbir Mahendra.

Sharma Director Administration and Secretary DPSG Society also graced the occasion. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and parents and congratulated the students on their achievement. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Pathak encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity and to prove their mettle.
The senior coordinator Manbir Mahendra delivered the vote of thanks as proud parents cheered and applauded the newly invested prefectorial board.
Nukkad Natak & Yoga Morning
As a part of the Community Connect Program, DPSG International students have taken up the initiative to spread awareness against drug abuse and its effects. The students presented a nukkad natak on 'NashaMukti' at P-Block, Auto Chauraha A-Block and Central Park Sanjay Nagar as a part of the programme. They highlighted the harmful effects of drug use and the role of society and loved ones in rehabilitating addicts. The students' efforts were appreciated and lauded by all onlookers.
Another yoga morning was also held at Sanjay Nagar Ghaziabad and Central Park, ChiranjeevVihar Ghaziabad where the residents performed the asnas alongside the students and participated in the school's initiative to promote health and fitness.
French Day Celebration
The world is a melting pot of cultural diversity today. This makes foreign languages a key to growth and understanding this globally diverse domain.
Delhi public school Ghaziabad International School celebrated the French Independence Day on 14th July 2017. All participants painted their face with blue, white and red- colours of French National Flag.
Many activities were conducted to enjoy the festivities of the day. Grade VI did Tshirt painting where they shown different monuments of France. The importance of history and culture of France was explained by the students of grade VII and they also participated in the Graffiti competition. The students of grade VIII participated in French Spell Bee competition.
Imparting the learning of two different languages, both native and FRENCH, raises our students to a better understanding to varied cultures and unfamiliar customs. Our students were actively involved in language day celebrations where they displayed an appreciation of the multi-cultural world.
Science Week Celebration
The students of DPSG International celebrated science week from 10th July to 14th July to enthuse and involve students and to stimulate their understanding of how science impacts their lives.
The week-long activities were eager contested and participated in Inter House Science quiz for classes VI-XII, Inter Class Video Presentation, and Inter House Science Paper Presentation for classes IX-XI. Intra Class Science in Daily Life for classes I-III, Inter House Paper Presentation on Scientific Innovations for classes IV- V and Seed germination activity for Starz was also organized. A Fun with Science session was also held where teachers demonstrated Science experiments. Inter Class Science Exhibition organized for classes VI- XI was the culmination of the activities where students displayed their working models of Science in Everyday Life.

Spandan - 2017, the Inter School Creative Arts Fest organized by DPSG International was an amalgamation of theater, music, and dance in which students of over 10 schools displayed their creative talents to the fullest. The school campus came alive with the presentation of theater acts, fusion dance and live classical songs. Principal Anita Sethi welcomed the guests and participants after the lighting of the traditional lamp. She stressed on the need for students to participate is such events to develop an appreciation for art forms and to develop a global perspective.
The top honours in the classical song category was bagged by Gurukul-The School followed by DPSG International at the second position and Arwachin Public School taking up the third place. In the theater act the first position was bagged by Gurukul-The School with DPS Indirapuram taking up the second place followed by DDPS in the third position.
Uttam School for Girls and DPSG International tied for the 1st position in the Fusion dance with DDPS taking up the second and DPS Indirapuram at the third place.
