Assembly on International Human Rights Day

A special assembly was conducted by the students of Ganga House to observe International Human Rights Day on December 10, 2018.
The bright and beautiful morning was packed with interesting information about the rights enshrined in the Declaration of Human Rights created in 1948 by the United Nations. A poem on the significance of Human Rights was recited and a short quiz related to the special day was also conducted.
The children shared a sense of awareness of the assaults against human rights that take place around the globe, as well as a sense of empathy for those who are victims of injustice, intolerance, violence, and fear.
They spoke not only about rights but also reminded everyone of the Fundamental Duties of every citizen as listed in the Constitution of India.
The Principal, Ms Meera Mathur addressed the students on the occasion and emphasized on the importance of being mindful about our own rights as well as acknowledging the rights of fellow human beings.
