“There is nothing as powerful as mother’s love.”
People across regions, religions, castes, cultures, genders and financial status have emotions binding them to their mothers. There could not be a more universal celebration than this one. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, we at DPSGI had a special celebration on the occasion of mother’s day. It was celebrated in the school’s precincts with the active participation of the mothers and their children as well. A special presentation was organized for the mothers which began with the lighting of the lamp by the HOS, Ms. Anita Sethi. She welcomed all the parents and shed light on the pivotal role of a mother. The students of class 2 presented a beautiful skit highlighting the importance of mothers in our lives. They also extended their gratitude towards their mothers with a melodious song and an emotional dance performance. After that, the mothers and grandmothers participated in a ramp walk dressed as Retro Queens, who were greeted by their children with a flower and a crown. They also participated in musical chair, fire in the mountain game, salad making etc. All the winners were felicitated by the principal of the school. The Primary wing coordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav concluded the programme with a vote of thanks.
